Getting Started

Install Multiprompter, open your first script, and put a synced viewer on every display.

Multiprompter is a native macOS teleprompter for people who record. One markdown file drives any number of frameless viewer windows. Scroll any window and every other window follows, staying on the same sentence. Viewer windows never appear in recordings or screen shares.

Requirements

macOS 15.6 or later
Apple silicon or Intel

Install

Download the latest release and drag Multiprompter.app into your Applications folder:

Or install with Homebrew:

brew install --cask multiprompter/tap/multiprompter

The app is signed and notarized, so it opens without warnings on first launch.

First launch

Multiprompter opens with the editor window and a sample script loaded. The fastest way to see what the app does:

Click Add Viewer in the editor toolbar. A frameless black window appears with the script in large white text.
Add another viewer and drag it somewhere else, on any display. Drag a viewer by its text background to move it.
Scroll any window: the editor, the preview, or either viewer. Every window follows to the same spot.

The sample script has numbered lines so you can verify every window lands on the same place, even at very different font sizes.

Open your own script

Your script is a plain markdown file on disk. Press ⌘O to open a .md file, or start typing over the sample and press ⌘S to save it. See The Editor for the markdown syntax the viewers render.

The trial

Every feature works free for 14 days, no account and no card. After that, a one-time $24 license re-enables viewer windows; the editor and your files keep working either way. See License and Trial.
